An agent is a service account with a mandatory human sponsor, an expiry, and a kill switch that freezes every permission it holds; if the sponsor leaves the workspace, the agent is suspended. Agents are a use of the rails, not a product apart from them, and many small agent payments are where Multilateral Netting pays most, so agent netting is designed in from the start (coming soon).

The Envelope

One agent, one wallet. The envelope carries per-asset caps, a velocity rule, destination and chain allowlists, and an active window. Each clause is enforced by the wallet provider where possible and at TetraFi’s gateway otherwise, and the console says which. Every agent transfer is checked at the gateway before any signer is asked.

What Agents Do

Transfers, rebalancing to target balances, and per-call service payments under a per-call cap and a rolling window, with one audit feed of the agent’s events and the transfers it caused (rolling out). Next: scheduled payouts, invoice payment, and agent netting, where only the net residual settles (coming soon). An agent’s transfers still clear the treasury policy, and its key is never wallet authority (Wallets & Signing).
