# Instant Settlement

> Front a T+N receivable so the counterparty is paid today - coming soon.

<Note>
  **Coming soon.** Instant Settlement is in design as a product of the [Shared Collateral Network](/collateral). Mechanics below describe the planned shape; parameters publish at launch.
</Note>

## The Deferred Leg

OTC desks and institutional LPs settle on T+1 cycles while trades execute now. RWA legs settle on the issuer's schedule while the other side of the trade is already done. Every deferred leg leaves one party waiting on money that is contractually theirs - and today that wait rides on broker and LP credit lines.

## Paid Today, Settled on Cycle

Instant Settlement fronts the receivable from committed network capital. Each deferred trade on TetraFi's rail creates a receivable with first-party provenance - originated and tracked by the same settlement rail that will pay it. A [vault](/collateral/vaults) buys that receivable at a discount, the counterparty is paid T+0, and when the desk's cycle completes, the rail pays the vault at face.

* **Credit lines come off the balance sheet** - the wait that rode on bilateral broker and LP facilities is carried by shared, committed capital sized across the whole network's flow
* **Desks keep their cycles** - prime-schedule net settlement stays; only the counterparty's wait disappears
* **Secured by the settlement object itself** - the draw is against one named receivable, on one venue, with one settlement time, plus a haircut
* **Depositors earn the wait** - the discount is the yield, priced by duration

TetraFi is literally its own first customer here: the platform's deferred rail originates the receivables the network buys.
